I’m humbled to be following on from researchers whose efforts are remarkable, clinicians who have developed and championed services in their regions, and to work with those who remained focused on ensuring the next generation of clinicians are mindful of, and know how to help, people with personality disorder.
The bylaws of the ISSPD state that the society organizes for clinical, scientific, educational, and charitable purposes. Such purposes include promoting international training, scholarship, collaboration, and communication regarding the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of personality disorders. The values that guide the ISSPD are intellectual curiosity, scientific advancement, clinical responsibility, and cultural sensitivity.
